ISI on the international stage at the UN

Not everyone is aware that the ISI has consultative status at the United Nations.

What does this consultative status mean for ISI and larger statistical community?

Well, it means that we take an active role in UN discussions on statistics, we are often asked to join working parties, and we attend the annual UN Statistical Commission.

Lessons from a Swearing Chef

For many years, we have watched Top Chef Gordon Ramsay on TV. Most of the time, he comes to the rescue of ailing restaurants. He is infamous for his constant swearing, but in almost all of the episodes he is very outspoken about just one thing “Use fresh ingredients, not those f****ng canned or processed stuff!”.
